Hey Little Butterfly
Written By Alethea Jimison
I see butterflies fluttering from flower to flower trying to feed a gaping hunger.
They flutter.
Their hearts are beating in fear.
Fear of stopping to think.
Fear of losing anything.
This change is just one of many.
Yes, you are starting over, but so are your cells.
You are reborn every 7 years. This is the cycle of life.
Change is not your adversary.
It is the ebb and flow of the ocean pushing and pulling against a sandy shore.
The sand will never be the same.
The waves will never flow the same.
You will never be the same. And that’s alright.
When you learn how to embrace change, you will be able to breathe without shuddering breaths like the beat of butterfly wings.
