A racially ambiguous woman meditating under a vast cosmic sky, surrounded by glowing reflections of herself symbolizing God, Gods, and Higher Self, as golden streams of energy connect them while worldly distractions dissolve into mist.

Conversations with God

Conversations with God

So, I talked to God—
but it wasn’t just God,
it was Gods…

but it wasn’t just Gods…
it was Us.

I mean, Me—
but just the Me
that I’ve been waiting to become.

Does that make any sense?

So when I was talking to Myself,
I got the answer I needed…
I just had to listen.

So We told Me:
You are enough.

And I was like,
“Whoa!”

Blinking in stunned disbelief,
I asked Us,
“So, let me get this straight—
if I can believe
that I am enough,
then that’s all it takes?”

And We said,
Of course.

And I was like,
“Oh… it’s that simple?”

Wait a minute—
it would be simple
if there weren’t so many damn distractions
telling me
that I am not enough.

Damn.

This is why I meditate.

Fucking distractions.

About the Poem Conversations with God

This poem began as a conversation with God—but it quickly became clear I wasn’t only speaking to God, or even the Gods. I was speaking to myself—the self I’ve been waiting to meet, the self that already knew the answer all along.

Sometimes, the voice of God isn’t thunder in the sky. It’s the whisper inside of us. The “Us” that is Me, the “Me” that is You. This poem is about the sacred realization that you are enough.

When I asked, “So, all it takes is believing I am enough?” the answer was yes. The difficulty is not in the truth, but in the noise—the endless distractions, the constant messages telling us we are broken, unworthy, not enough.

And this, I realized, is why I meditate.

The Power of Listening to Your Inner Voice

In a world full of distractions—phones buzzing, ads flashing, endless demands on our attention—it’s easy to lose touch with the inner voice that guides us. Meditation isn’t about silence for silence’s sake. It’s about creating the space to finally hear the wisdom we carry within.

When we quiet the distractions, we discover that our deepest answers don’t come from outside validation. They come from within. From God, from Source, from the higher Self—however you choose to name it.

Why Meditation Reminds Us We Are Enough

Spiritual awakening is rarely complicated—it is often simple. The reminder that you are enough has been there all along. But simplicity feels impossible when the world profits off your insecurity. Social media, marketing, and even cultural expectations are designed to convince us that we are missing something, that we need more.

Meditation breaks this cycle. It reminds us that the divine already lives within us. It reconnects us to the truth: you are enough exactly as you are.

Closing Reflection

This poem is an affirmation that self-worth isn’t earned—it’s remembered. God speaks through us, as us, if only we’re willing to listen. That’s why I write. That’s why I meditate. Because in a world full of distractions, choosing to remember your own divinity is the most radical act of freedom.
